  • Community care grants
  • Budgeting loans and crisis loans
  • How to dispute social fund decisions and apply to the Independent Review Service

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Apply for grants under the regulated social fund
  • Advise on how the discretionary social fund works and make full applications to it
  • Select which evidence to use in social fund applications
  • Advise on disputing decisions – whether by appeal or review
