Founded in 1967, St. Christopher's Hospice pioneered the modern hospice movement and is established as a centre of innovation and expertise in the field of palliative care.
St. Christopher’s Hospice is seeking an experienced Welfare Advisor to work alongside welfare and social work colleagues to provide an up-to-date, effective welfare service to terminally ill patients, their carers and bereaved relatives.
The successful applicant will be competent in providing assistance and advice on entitlement to benefits, debt management, grant applications, transport concessions and funeral costs. The Welfare Advisor will also assist in matters relating to employment and housing in order that the client can achieve the highest quality of life possible.
Some home visits will be necessary and therefore applicants must have a valid driving licence.
