Full Time hours per week. £30,134 inc. LW
Location: London
Deadline: 24/02/2010
The Royal British Legion safeguards the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces.
We are one of the UK's largest membership organisations and provide welfare services, campaign on a range of issues affecting Service people and manage the annual Poppy Appeal.
Our Benefits and Money Advice (BMA) Service is a recent initiative designed to give practical money and benefits advice to beneficiaries who are experiencing financial difficulties, and we’re seeking a competent and experienced adviser to manage our in-house Advice team located regionally across England and Wales.
Reporting to our BMA Manager, you’ll have a thorough and up-to-date working knowledge and experience of complex money advice and welfare benefits issues and will be responsible for providing professional support, supervision and consultation to advisers, managing recruitment and training needs whilst also managing a caseload of clients, providing face-to-face support when needed.
With responsibility for monitoring the performance of BMA provision to comply with policy, procedures and targets, it’s essential that you have experience of using a case management database (AIMS would be preferable).
You’ll ensure the professional integrity of the team and quality assurance by methods including regular file reviews and providing reports to the BMA Manager.
You should be a member of the Institute of Money Advisers (IMA) and will be able to provide evidence of undertaking specialist money advice training from a recognised provider.
If you are highly organised, enjoy using your initiative and have the ability to travel regularly within England and Wales, we’d like to hear from you.
