Welfare Rights Officer

You will work with the Welfare Rights Advice Service, undertaking a varied caseload of benefit enquiries for local people within Nottingham to maximise benefit take up as part of the Nottingham Warm Zone Project.
You will participate in ongoing reviews and will represent at appeal tribunals.
From recent relevant experiences, you will possess an up to date knowledge of social security law to enable you to advise and advocate on behalf of clients.
Experience of debt work is an advantage, but not essential.
Please note that the Nottingham City Council is in the process of reviewing its pay and grading structure. Therefore, the current grade and salary of certain jobs will be subject to the final outcome of this review.
