Capacitybuilders announce winners of Improving Reach programme

72 organisations to share £17million of funding

Third Sector minister, Phil Hope, announced the successful bidders of the Improving Reach programme at the Capacitybuilders annual conference yesterday.

Seventy two organisations will be sharing the £17 million of funding, which aims to increase the capacity and sustainability of smaller third sector organisations that work with excluded communities.

Commenting on the announcement, Phil Hope said -

'Both Capacitybuilders and the recipients of its funding have helped to create a more effective third sector by improving support for voluntary and community organisations.'

During this conference the Minister also announced the launch of Capacitybuilders' Social Enterprise Programme with £6 million being invested over the next three years in support of social enterprise.
